Hi Everyone!
I've missed seeing comments here for a few days....glad it see everyone is still around and a big welcome to our newest new friends! We hope we can help you and your sailor through undes (uncharted) territory...and it can be very frustrating along the way (for those that didn't choose it initially...but how ever you landed here, we are glad to meet you. Navy Mom hugs to you, and hang in there, you'll make it! A special note of welcome to our newest veteran on the page...thank you for your service and your commitment, on behalf of a Navy Mom who is just one of thousands with a grateful heart....

Aw Julie, it was so sweet of you to quote me...heck...you make me feel so special! Really do appreciate you, girlfriend... and CrackerjackMom...always a joy to "hear" from you...and I'm with Julie....your Tara sure is a beautiful lady...probably takes after her Mom :) ....Hi Molly! So great to hear that Tucker is proud of himself....so great to hear them speak of their accomplishments, because we know they've earned it and they deserve all the credit for a job well done.

Hello Friends!

Crackerjack ~ What great looking children you have. Tara looks so happy holding her ESWS certificate. Way to go Tara!!!!

Welcome Sangiovesse ~ I am usually full of questions?? I don't always ask because some of mine sound a little dumb. lol I have never had a Sailor before so lots is new to me. :o) Thanks for joining us and THANK YOU for your service to our country.

Welcome USN mom ~ So glad you joined us. There are wonderful people here that help and support all of us and our Sailors!

Well, Sailor Wes is living on a berthing barge in the harbor of San Diego. He says that there is more room than on the ship. He can get phone reception on the barge and it is not freezing cold in his rack. So, he thinks it is not so bad at all. He bought a car because he was spending tons of money on cabs. He is going to be in San Diego for over a year and decided that a car was more economical in the long run. Also is planning on driving it home to Corpus Christi, Texas. over 1400 miles at New Years. YIKES! lol He is working with a Aviation Ordnance Division. Seems to like the people there. So, I said why don't you strike for AO. He said No, I want AD, AM, or AME. I said OK....Go for it!!! I LOVE YOU and I am PROUD of you no matter what job you are in!!!
Hope you all have a great weekend!!! ttyl Chow!

WELCOME USN MOM!!! We are so very glad you found us. As you read through past posts you'll find some of us got here because our sailors went into the Navy as Undesignated...others (like me) know the heartbreak of that phone call, our kids telling they have been dropped from their chosen A school for whatever reason, and are now undesignated. If it's the latter....it's pretty hard. The main thing to remember is (as Shelia always says) what they need now is our support, our unconditional love and to know that we are very proud of them....regardless of what happens next. As you read you will find that our sailors, as a whole, are happy, well adjusted and doing just fine. Please let us know if we can help or answer questions you might have.......we're all in this together, and we're so glad you are here!
