Sue~ I tried to go to your page to post this but couldn't get through for some reason...hope it's okay to post this here! (And I hate to disappoint but I am a native yankee! LOL Although I have been cooking in Georgia for quite a few years now! : ) My sailor is nuts about this easy sweet salad:

Oreo "Poof" Salad
2 cups buttermilk
2 (4 oz.) instant french vanilla pudding mix
16 oz whipped topping
2 cans (sm) mandarin oranges, drained
1 lb Oreo cookies
(note: bananas are an optional add-in..we make it without!)

Mix buttermilk and pudding well. Add drained oranges, fold in cool whip. Break up oreos into pieces (We smash them in a bowl w/ a potato masher) and add to mixture. Chill and serve.

At least you deleted the post. Its still on most of my other boards. Only one other person has deleted it. Linda I hope you dont think I was blaming you for not deleting it. I was talking about it being taken off the whole Navy site not just this one group. I know you are busy!!

Linda - I got my cookbooks and just love them! You outdid yourself!! I bought them for Christmas gifts and I'm having a hard time keeping the secret!! I want so badly to show them and talk about them! I may want more if you have extras! Thanks for all your hard work!!

I agree Navy 08 mom. It does need to be deleted but for some reason it has now been on this site for more than 17 hours. Its still one a bunch of my groups. It was removed from one but not the rest.

Linda, just wanted to tell you that the books are great!! I got mine when Joe was home and he love them. Of course he gave me a couple meals I make that he likes to put in the next one. LOL. He really liked the format and the first couple of pages. He said that it was great that us MOMs think of everything :)...... I only had one recipe in there just to try it ( to see if I COULD do it) Now that I know I can do it. I will have a couple more for next time.......Thanks again for getting them to me so quickly :) God Bless you :)

Linda, I got my 2 today, I wish I had ordered more. If you have any left over let me know. So many decissions on which recipe to try 1st. I do hope this will be a continued tradition, such a great way for families of our sailors to come together.
