I was wondering how long you and your husband dated before getting married and how long you have been married.  And if you want to add your little love story go ahead!

So, my husband and I have known each other for about 13 years, but, brace yourselves ladies, this gets complicated....Ok, my sister dated this guy for about 6 years in school, they broke up, for the last time, and he started dated again, eventually dating the sister of my now husband.  So that is how we originally met, but he is two and a half years younger than me and, while I did think he was adorable, I never even considered it.  I stayed in touch with his sister when their family moved away and her now husband b/c he is like a brother to me.  Then along comes myspace and about 7 years pass and TJ chats me up one night on IM.  He comes up to visit me that night (a seven hour drive from SC to VA) and we have been together ever since.  That was 6 years ago, we have been married for three and a half.  We are a bit old for a navy couple.  He drives me nuts and wild all at the same time and I wouldn't have him any other way....ok, if he picked up a bit more that would be ok, ; ) lol

although we are not married yet, we are attempting to plan a wedding for september/ october. he is currently in bootcamp, week one actually......we were best friends for a few years, talked all the time, grew to love eachother. we have been dating for four months now, and im telling you God has blessed me with him. He has done nothing but encourage me to seek God and look for the good in every situation, and on top of that he is wonderful with my son, being dad is natural to him. I love him with all my heart and cannot wait to merry him!

SR and I first met back in middle school and dated off and on all through middle school and high school. Couldn't tell you how many different times. We lost count, haha! About a year after graduation we decided to give it another go and said if it didn't work out this time, we were done and would just stay friends. Needless to say, we didn't part that time. :) We married finally 5 years ago. So we had almost 10 years under out belt before we said "I do." We've had all sorts of funny little storeis over the years, like one of our most memorable dates involved his car breaking down and walking a couple miles in the pouring rain to get buffalo wings. haha! And the proposals. Yes. Plural. He told me years ago that if I didn't like how he proposed, I could make him do it again. :) He actually re-did it a couple times on his own. I made him redo the initial one because it wasn't the way he wanted to do it anyway. And we had to keep the ring locked up in the room safe (we were on vacation in FL) because the diamond was loose and I was afraid we'd lose it. Best proposal was #3 along the waterway under the stars. :) He went in-depth on why he wanted to marry me. Loved it! There was also #4 which had me teary-eyed because I totally wasn't expecting it. Was in front of both our moms after I thought we had returned the ring to the store for refund because of the issues with the gemstone. He actually just had it repaired. :) Anyways. That be the jist of our story.

My fiance and I have been together for 4 years and 7 months. We met my first day moving into the "athletes apartments" with my team mates freshman year of college. He played football and I played basketball. We were introduced by a team mate of mine and kind of pushed together becasue we were both 17 with braces lol. We played madden against each other and stayed up until 3am talking because I didnt want to go back to my room. His room mate was with mine and it was a little too much for me lol. Anywho once his came back he walked me to my apt we talked a little more and then he kissed me and asked me to be his girlfriend. I said yes and then being the 17 years olds we were we broke up like 7 times in one week lol. We got back together spring semester and have pretty much been inseparable since. He proposed to me at our baby shower last april and now we have a 10 month old baby girl named Noah. We are getting married on the 30th... and he is enlisting into the navy... O the adventures to come :-)

My husband and I have an odd story. My husband and I were engaged before we started dating. He proposed even though I had a boy friend. I told him when we first got together that I would leave him if he joined the military. But with Gods help I decided I loved him too much to keep him from his dreams. We stayed together for about a year before getting married. We finally got married on December  18, 2011!!! Though it wasn't what we had hoped. His recruiter had told us not to get married until after boot camp, but his commander said he was wrong so we had four days to put together a wedding. (the commanding officer said we should be married by that Sunday so we still had time to do paperwork.) He left February 1st and is graduating on March 30th!!!! Six more days!! I never thought I would be happy as a military wife, but I am! :D

Met in May, 1st official date was July, married April and that was almost 22 years ago

We dated for roughly a year--he proposed before it was an actual, calendar, year, but...details. ;)

He proposed in December, and we got married the same day he graduated BESS this February. So we're up to...almost two months of marriage? So far so good, aside from being 1,000 miles apart (for now; I move to Groton in May).

How we met isn't really a forum-appropriate topic...let's just leave it at, alcohol was a catalyst to get things moving. :P

We dated for 7 years (started dating senior year of high school, moved in together, dated all through college, then he decided to join the navy, we got engaged) We got married on the 7th year, the same day that we started dating 7 years before April 2nd. Now we have been married for a little over 1 year, together for a total of 8.

My husband and I hated each other for over a year bc he used to be with one of my roommates friends. We saw each other at a bar one night and talked for a whole week. Just enjoying each others company (hearing his side of the story lol) 3 months later we hadn't spent a day apart and then 6 months later we were married and still going strong :) hes a great man and he loves me more than anything in the world.

My husband and I have known each other since he was 8 and I was 10 yrs old. Our families were close friends and that's how we connected as children. When I was 18 and my husband was 16 he asked for my phone number. We started dating a few months later =) We dated for 1 1/2 yrs before he proposed. We married the next year on August 8th 2008 (8-8-08!!) We have now been married for 4 years and I love him more and more each day!!

My husband and I first started dating when we were in 7th grade and were on again off again until 10th grade in high school and have been together ever since! We got married when I was 20 and this Dec. we will have been married for 5yrs!!! We have been together a total of 9 yrs and I love him so much!!

my hubby and I went to high school together, he would harass me everyday lol until finally the 12 grade I gave in to just see where it would go, now five years later we're in love and married =)
