ForeverMom, I am so excited I just received the letter today about the graduation and his address.I already have a few letters, cards and pictures. They are all in the mail tomorrow.And yes I did see the PIR group open for the day he is graduating. Thank You. Now if I can only get that phone call.  lol

Sue, congratulations!  And thank you daughter for her service!  How wonderful to keep working in what she was doing and being close to family.

 

T-Los's Mom, that was the hardest part for me, wondering how my son was doing. All you can do is hold strong that the Navy knows what they are doing in bc.  When the letters start coming you will feel much better.  Be ready to mail letters to him as soon as you get his address, my son said they helped him thru so much.  Remember to not read to much into his letters, he is very tired.  It will on be worth it for both of you at PIR.  Are you planning on going? You should definitely do all you can to go, you won't regret it.  I live up north in outside of Reno.  How crazy, I am tearing up remembering those days and all you are going thru.  Stay strong and stay on N4M's.  Is your PIR group open?  Having that group and the "leave in March (for us)" group really helped me through. No one around me understood what I was going thru.

Hi ForeverMom, Thanks , I have been writing letters but did not receive the letter yet with his address or what Division he is part of. I just want to know if he is o.k and if  it is what he expected. I don't want him to have any regrets because that will make it harder for him to get through this, but I guess it's too late now. I live in Las Vegas or Henderson NV, And you?

Hi moms. I am now the mother of a Navy Veteran. My daughter retired in September, and guess what! She's working for the Navy and DoD doing exactly what she did when she was Active Duty. The funny thing is my Army son is stationed at the same base where my daughter works.

I have not been on NV Moms in a long time. When I was poking around there was no one.   Nice to see there are more of us now. 

 

T-Los's Mom, it will get easier. Have you joined your PIR group?  My son has been in 1 yr and in fact next week will be his pir grad anniversary. Time does fly Believe me I know it doesn't feel like it will.  Are you writing to him? I found that helped alot.  What part of NV are you in?

Hello everyone, I am new to this site and I am go glad I found it. My son left 4/24/2012 for bootcamp and I already miss him so much. I have my moments everyday through out the day, I swear every little thing makes me cry, I was sitting at work today and I work Customer Service and I was looking at an acct. and the customers occupation was a manager at Old Navy, OLD NAVY, and I started to cry, wow I am a mess, Well I hope it gets better. Please tell me it does? I am glad I found this site it has a lot of good info.

Hi kristie 09/016...I live in LV.My daughter just graduated bootcamp on Friday! These next 8 weeks will be tough but oh so worth it when you see your recruit march through those doors at grad.Stay on this site,it has been a godsend.Join Bootcamp moms forum,tons of useful info and you will get to meet lots of other new moms too.The hardest part is waiting for the "form letter".Once you get that you will have a address and their PIR (pass-in-review)date,join the forum for that too.Write to your recruit frequently,they live for mail.You can go to my page too and send me a message if you want.Hang in there :)
