Paula- not sure what you mean by reservist....sorry ! ? Is the group called MA's in SA? I will look for it...

Supermansmom join the group MA's in SA that is also a great group . They have a break down week by week of what your son will be doing. Is your son a reservist?

Thanks Paula & Judy.... sorry, haven't been on N4M's in a few days... I am looking for any help/info I can get.. I am new to this group..
Brief summary: My sailor graduated 9/3.... He was in pre/buds for seals.... hurt his hip, got medically dor'd ..... he chose MAA for his jobl... he is still in GL, but is going to training in Texas in a few days..... I have no idea what happens next..... anyone else in Texas? How long do they train? After Texas will he train somewhere else? ANY information on this would help me greatly ! thanks

Welcome Monica. You have come to the right place. N4 M's is great. In case you didn't already do it, I highly recommend joining Boot Camp Moms. Once you find out your sons ship and Division # you can start a group for that also. It was what kept my sanity while I waited for those letters and phone calls those first couple of months. The support you will find here is great. My son left for BC about a year ago and so far loves being a MA. Keep us updated on his progress. Welcome!

Hey all. Just found this group.
My son leaves for bootcamp in two weeks. He is really excited to get this started.
The only job he wanted was MA. Nice to meet you all and look forward to sharing stories with you.

That would be me. My son just left for VA for additional training before being deployed at the beginning of next year. He is a Reservist. What about your MAA

Hello all, my son leaves for a school for MAA in SA tomorrow. Any info would be very helpful. He is aware of some of the details but he doesn't talk much about it. Can I fly down to visit him or do I need to wait to hear it from him?. Just curious. The weekend liberty after PIR was just too short. Any info is much appreciated, thank you in advance...Ladona
