To all my New York friends:

A Navy friend and mom Karen, needs help for her son Erik, a Corpsman, who needs a place to stay from July 1 through August either in Brooklyn NY or near train lines B,Q,N,R,A,C,F,2,3,4,5 in other boroughs that will stop near the school he will need to attend in Brooklyn, NYC College of Technology located on 300 Jay Street.

Erik needs a private room with a bed and a desk (if available) and his budget is 800 a month.

I have sent out invitations to a group called "Erik Needs a Room" so that if you have any info you can post on that page.

If anyone on my list knows someone in NYC, can you ask around so we can get Erik a room for July and August? I know his mama and she is a really sweet lady and her son is a responsible nice young man ;)

Thanks for anything you can do for Erik. Will send more info privately if you need it. Here is the link to the group on facebook with more information about Erik:

If you have a facebook page, it would be great to post this link on your page for us and hopefully one of your NY friends can help. Thanks <3

Lori SheaUSS NEW YORK (LPD 21) I am the mom of a sailor onboard the USSNY and was wondering if anyone could assist me on where to find information on their arrival? I am not clear if they are coming into NY or Staten Island and when or where specifically we should be to greet them. I will also be on the Tiger cruise from NYC to VA and find I have logistic questions there too. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks so much and god bless all the men and women onboard the USS New York and all others serving and protecting our country - We will NEVER FORGET
