Thanks Mabel. Dan came home to NY he wasn't able to make it to P.R.. which was ok. We both got to NY the same day so at least I have him with me during this hard time. Have yourself a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Well hello eveyone its been awhile since I've been here. Has some of you know who are on my personal friend list I had a death in the family. My mother pass away this pass friday Nov. 20th. She lived in Puerto Rico. I just got back yesterday. It was not easy for us. My brother and didn't get a chance to say goodbye to her. It was a masive heart attack. The one who had it worst was our sister who found her. Its not easy especially around the hoildays. My son was able to get leave from his command so he arrived also yesterday to be with me. I am so greatful to them for letting him come home for this. I surely needed my son here with me it helps a whole lot. To all of you who send your thoughts and prayers thankyou. Thankyou for being my extended family

Hi Heather, welcome! Bootcamp...I remember those days, believe me, time will fly...it's hard in the beginning but like Sandydawn says, once it's over, you will have more contact with your sailor.
Hi Taisha congratulations!!! What an honor!!! Hope to see those pictures...

Hi Everyone,
My son, James, has been given the awesome opportunity to attend the Ceremony on Saturday by his Blue and Gold Officer (he has applied to the Academy and received an LOA a couple of weeks ago). He is so excited. Unfortunately, only he was invited so I am hoping he takes loads of pictures to share.

Hi Heather,
My son graduated bootcamp 9/25/09. He is now in A school in Dam Neck, Virginia. Bootcamp seemed to last forever and the hardest part was the limited contact. Watching him graduate was a wonderful, emotional event! Now in A school we can keep in touch through computer and cell phone. It makes his absence easier.
I'm from western Ny. Feel free to write if you have any questions.

Hi all, I'm new to this group, but happy to have found it. My son is in bootcamp. We are from the adirondacks!
