Yes its oustide I think the name of the rd is Admiral Tausig Blvd. You can take hampton blvd to the end but before you go on base turn right at the last light the nex is in the fence on your right. The entrance is the next right.

Elizabeth that is a great way to look at it. My husband is on the Truman and likes it. Sometimes you just need a break so you can refocus.

My son has TAD orders to the Truman for a few weeks in August. I'm not sure if he's excited to go or not. He's been having problems in his command and I told him that this was a good opportunity to work in a different atmosphere and away from the people he's worked with. He will also get to finish his qauls on the Truman to which he's is good with and come back with hopefully a new attitude towards his shipmates. Any ideas from Truman moms?

Hi AlwaysReady my son will be needing housing near Norfolk base, he is currently on deployment, my concern has been the same a good neighborhood. If you don't mind sharing the info, or if anyone else knows of good places to look at.
