Hey..Justin isn't happy about the hold either, I think he was hoping to be home for spring break,lol. He is on the Decatur also, but didn't know his roomates names yet.

My son was just transferred there. He only knew it as BEQ. I didn't really understand all he was telling me, but something like his A school shouldn't start until after Christmas because they are pushing this group to finish before Christmas. So I guess we won't plan on anything until January...unless the Navy says so. LOL It's just so nice to be able to speak to him again.

Is anyone's sailor on BEQ 839?
I asked my son about Thanksgiving. He and his buddies are just going to hang out. At home he mostly worked on Thanksgiving so it's not that big of a holiday for him. Thank God he is able to come home for Christmas.

I heard from my daughter last night that A School was on delay for six months. She was a little frustrated. She is on Enterprise and said it's easier to email than write at the moment.

She sounded so businesslike and grown up...lol...but at least she has her voice back after BS in boot camp.

I think she is being adopted by friends a ways out of town for Thanksgiving...I have to send her the logistics for getting there.

My son wouldn't give me his address on the enterprise since it was only a temporary holding ship. He should move over this week. Wow, that sounds terrible that he wouldn't give it to me. lol he said he wants me to concentrate on my school work and not him (I already had 5 pages for him lol)

Is there a link to an online map or info on each of the different "Ships" in A School...(such as Decatur and Enterprise.

Since my daughter still hasn't moved over to A School - I think she goes over tomorrow...anyone got ideas how I get her address?

Wow there's a lot of information on this board. :-) Julz thanks for that time frame.
Justin's mom, Billy in only contacting me now when he has a question-and then I try to drill him for everything lol. I think he's enjoying his "freedom" from mom. I'm hoping if I give him some space he'll call to say hello everyone once in a while. My husband's mother nags him endlessly if he doesn't call her-I see how he does things just so that she doesn't start-not out of wanting to-I don't want Billy to be that way towards me soo.....(crossing fingers, legs, toes, handstrands that it works lol)

Debbie, Billy had said there is something on base to purchase airline tickets and he was quoting me prices 100.00 cheaper and at a closer airport. He didn't buy them because he wanted to make sure of the dates. Plus I told him if he needed to be back 1/03 he should fly back 1/01 incase they get snowed in.

Also, he was at the Enterprise for 8 days after PIR until moving to the Decatur.

My son told me yesterday that his first class of A school is today. So for those of you wondering about how long the hold usually is, for my son it was about 2 weeks. He moved from the Enterprise to the Decatur on Oct 29th and A school started today, Nov. 16th. And they didn't tell him until Saturday that class would start Monday.
