Hope it all works out for you, Jeano.

Glad your son will be spending the day with other 'family' members, CindyH, even if it's not blood family. My son won't be here either; he's deployed and this is his 2nd Thanksgiving away. :( I'm having an extra piece of cheesecake just for him! lol.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!! I'm headed to bed now that the cheesecake is out of the oven. Tomorrow will be here soon enough and with it comes lots of people! Enjoy your day!!

Berta has now been in the Navy for one year and this is the second Christmas Season that she won't be home for so I sent her a Christmas tree. It only takes a $25 donation and they will send one to any sailor/soldier/airmen/marine overseas. But you have to hurry, they have to be ordered by this Friday. http://operationchristmastree.com/

Hi Cindy H. I remeber the first Holiday brian wasn't able to be home. It wa sin the summer time. I was going to commiserate with him, but he said, not to worry. he had been invited to one of the officers homes for a BBQ! That made me feel good that just because he hadn't been able to come *home*, he had *still* taken time to celebrate somewhere. Not just let the day drift by unnoticed. Now you get the fun of finding out all that went on when next you talk to him.

Karen so glad to hear the good news about son. Jeano hope you get things worked out with son. My son will not be home for Thanksgiving this will be the first one without him being home, he has to work for weekend so not possible to drive home and back, but he will have dinner with some of navy family so he does have a new family and for that I am thankful and so proud of what he has become. GO NAVY !!!!!!!!
