OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Meet and Greet

The 10/07/2011 Meet and Greet will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Ramada Inn Waukegan.

This free event will give you a chance to meet and greet others with loved ones who will have PIR on 10/07/2011. It will be a great way to start the weekend. You do not have to be staying at the Ramada Inn to attend. You will meet those who you have been sharing this journey with you within the 10/07/2011 PIR group on N4M and you will also meet others who have not heard of N4M  - so they might be a bit more confused than all of us.

The Ramada Inn provides the Navy Family Meet and Greet as a courtesy to the families each week and it is not associated with the Navy or N4M. The Ramada Inn will provide heavy appetizers for all and 2 coupons for free drinks if you are staying there. You may bring your own drinks to save money. Do not expect these appetizers to fill you up, you will probably want to eat either before or after the event.  There will be a person at the door filling out name tags.

Be sure to go to Meet and Greet - PIR 10/7/2011 TG 47 (Divisions 329-340 & 947) and RSVP and leave the number attending in the Comments section along with any comments as well. This event is open to anyone with a loved one who will have PIR on 10/07/2011, so be sure to indicate how many will be attending when you RSVP.
