Alicia, hopefully you'll get to see your son soon. I know I was lucky because my son stayed in GL for A-School and was able to take the train home on week-ends after he phased up. Then after graduation from Corps School he had a 10 day leave before moving on to C-School in VA. Now I won't see him again until the end of Nov. when C-School is finished. Of course I am planning on going to visit him, he just can't leave that far. I agree with Paula, have him check his chit and make sure nothing is wrong. He could also ask his Chief what the problem is. Good luck and hope you see him soon. Paula hope Lauren moves on to her next duty station soon. I know there are quite a few delays in things. They are anxious to move forward and get bored just staying in one place. Good luck!

That stinks Alicia. Laurens been home once in April for 9 days, but thats gonna be it until Christmas (fingers crossed). She has said it was a good thing she got her leave chit approved because right after they froze all leave in Pensacola for some reason.

Anyway, it seems all of our sailors are moving at different paces. They've been in for 6 months now and some are done with training and at their duty stations or on their ships. While others like Lauren are only done with one phase of training and stuck on hold waiting forever for the next phase to start. She will have been in for over a year before she gets to her first duty station. It just depends I guess on what they're doing.

I hope your son gets leave soon. He should double and triple check his chit request and maybe there was a mistake or something. Good luck and I hope you get to see him soon!
