Welcome all, ask your recruiter to look up their address on the database they have for bootcamp. It is usually the RINC Recruiter in Charge of the station and yes they have the ability to get this info for you. Still no letter from our son but we have told him when he calls to call his girlfriend if time is short and she called us the night he got to bootcamp 5 Nov. I find it strange the Navy Lodge cannot take reservations. In Hawaii we had 9 months I believe at the Hale Koa but it may be set up a little different. we have made reservations at the Residence Inn close to the base. Go to your search engine and type in Navy boot cmp hotels and it was the first line off of google. You get a special rate for bootcamp. Remember today was payday so you can check their pay if you are on their account and it will be less uniforms over a period of time. Take care and good to see you all.

Hi Vivian & Glen, We got a form letter with a few handwritten lines by our son. We got a call the night he arrived. In his letter he said" Boot Camp is getting easier"(it's only been 1 week) and he is going to carry the Div flag for PIR. How did you find out your sons Div? Just reading those few lines has lifted a weight off my heart. I hope you hear from him soon and that he's doing well too. Hope all goes according to schedule, I tried boking the Navy Lodge today but they were not able to take reservations for 2009 yet!!!?????That seems a little odd it's already the middle of Nov.

Our son Dan is in Div 907, Ship 6, USS Constitution; his PIR date appears to be 2 Jan according to the RTC site. We moved from NY to VA since he left on 4 Nov so our mail is slow catching up to us - haven't gotten a call or any mail yet....very anxious to hear from other parents of recruits in "same boat." Glen

To all who have son's or daughters in this PIR maybe we can help everyone out and let others know some tricks or knowledge to ease the seperation from our loved ones. Welcome all
