N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Hello Co-twinSalorsmom~    That is funny that I ended up in some of your photos from PIR.   My Sailor is in Meridian, Mississippi, his rate is a PS.   He is loving the freedom on the weekends now,  he said he works pretty hard during the week between class and duty,  but he loves the down time on the weekends.  He already recieved his orders,  he will be in Norfolk, Virginia after he graduates from school,  which will be at the end of July.  Time is flying right now, I feel like when they were in BC, time stood still,  but now it's flying!  Glad to hear your Sailor is doing well also...it's so good to hear about how the others are doing as well.  Sorry, we didn't get a chance to meet up,  I only met a few other mom's from on here,  your  right,  the 3 days were a blurr....  Good to hear from you, stay in touch.

Kim  I think I see you in some of my PIR photos I really only met a couple from here.  Felt like it was a blur.  Were is your sailor going to A school?  Sam is very happy at Goose Creek, he is so happy and upbeat it makes me smile a lot.  The group for his twin is huge as people are on it for years and years.  It is harder to connect with anyone.  Steve's A school group in Pensacola was a lot of fun.

It sure was a pleasure and a blessing meeting all of you ladies...I'm leaving this group now to move onto the A-school group.  My Sailor also was given his orders yesterday,  so I will be looking for that group to cling onto next.  I wish all your Sailors and famalies the best. Maybe we will all cross paths again someday, but until then....Hooyah,  we made it!   Blessings to all!

Thoughts and prayers really do work. The contractions have stopped and they released my Sailor from the hospital :) Thanks so much for the continued thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate it and My daughter/sailor said to thank all of you as well :)

Now I can get back to my vacation and preparing for our Florida meet and greet meet and Greet!

If you live in the areas of Florida on the pic below please join us for a Meet and Greet on Sunday afternoon. The Meet and Greet will be held in Gulf Harbors in New Port Richey FL. Hm, I didn't get the smile proof in the packet. Was I supposed to?

Comment by CO-TwinSalorsMom on June 26, 2013 at 9:08am
I just put the smile proof on my desk at work.
Comment by linda1963 on June 26, 2013 at 8:58am

my sailor picked out and ordered the pictures himself.  He chose the serious picture, said it made him look more grown up!  The proofs came with the packet, the one with the smile is cute but I can see why he chose the one he did.  He spent a pretty penny on those pictures!  I might see if I can order a copy of the smile picture just for me!
