Navymom284.....I can't wait to see your son sometime in the Navy Band. I know walking to the gate at the airport, my son said "Oh there's (last name) getting ready to go. I need to go see him!" And off he went before we even knew what was happening. It was so good to meet you, and I'm so happy your other boy is home for a visit. Have fun with the wedding plans.

Good Morning everyone!!! PIR was fantastic!!!  I was so proud of every single Sailor that marched in, and was searching for all the "behind the scenes" 932 Sailors as well.  So many special memories--seeing our son for the first time, watching the expression on his face as he talked to his brother (by phone) immediately after leaving the hall, spending Liberty and lunch with a dear sister-in-law (despite our son's RDC sitting at the table directly in front of our Sailor--and we were way out in the suburbs too...), tears as I watched our son walk away after dropping him off back at base, meeting other Navy parents in the wee hours of the morning at the gas station, Sat,... meeting Navy Mom friends at the airport, the respect the public gave to our Sailor as we walked thru the airport, tears as he boarded the plane, and the memories keep flooding back. Arrived back home Sat. and immediately jumped into initial wedding venue and dress shopping with our newly engaged daughter, and this morning, we have our other Navy son home, finally---it was so wonderful to hug him last night at the airport-1st time in a year.  Whew--and we thought the infant and toddler years were busy:)  Thank you again for making this mom's Boot Camp weeks fly by with tears, support, love, laughter, and finally the hugs as we all finally met at PIR!!!  

Mumof4--your son was so sweet, as he came up to our son just before he boarded his flight to wish him well.  Friendships like those last a lifetime!!!

Tomorrow (Wednesday) we are having a small get together/meet and greet at our rental house for anyone who lives in the New Port Richey FL/Tampa/Holiday/any surrounding areas for any Navy Moms, wives, grandmas, aunts, girfriends, anyone lol that would like to come. Yeah PIR 22JUN!

Unfortunately none with my sailor.  If anyone sat in front of 189 and got some nice shots of the flags, near to the scholastic flag, my sailor lined up right behind it.  I'd love to see a better picture than what I got.  Camera was acting up.  Thanks again for all the support and comraderie.
