Comment by Janie134 on December 18, 2012 at 11:14am Merry Christmas to all the families of our new sailors, some of whom will be with their sailors for the holiday and some of whom can not. Knowing our men and women are following their dreams and the pride we have in each of them helps with the sacrifices that must be made. The time will come when we each will be with our sailors even though none of us can share every special event with them. We can all be very thankful for the communication we can have now, to be able to say "I love you" and to hear those words said to us. We will enjoy those who can be home now and will continue to love and support those who cannot. Our Global Force for Good does not take holidays. God Bless our country and our Troops around the world on the special occasion of remembering the Holy Birth.
Comment by cmmom/ship4div821 on December 18, 2012 at 10:39am Happy Holidays to all of you!...Thankfully, my sailor is coming home for Christmas. I feel very blessed. My thoughts are with all of you and wishing you a wonderful holiday season
Comment by marmee4 (alumni mom) on November 22, 2012 at 9:17am Happy Thanksgiving to all. Spending a Turkey day without my son is strange and a bit lonely. He did get leave from A school, but it is short and he is with his wife's family - as he should be. We have hope for some time during Christmas before his first duty station, which we now know is San Diego. For those of you with folks in BC, hang in there and know they are being taken care of and having a great meal too. We all sacrifice for the cause and remain thankful and proud. THis is our new reality and at least we know they are safe today.
Comment by marmee4 (alumni mom) on November 9, 2012 at 12:24pm It's Friday again, so thinking about all of you proud folks attending PIR today. Enjoy every moment - it is a truly beautiful and moving ceremony - worth the 8 week wait and the sore bottoms you get while waiting for the event to begin. Time with your sailor will be short but very sweet - proud to be a part of the Navy family - always!!
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on October 18, 2012 at 12:30pm I am going to virginia Beach soon and would love to hear from anyone who lives in that area. I am hoping to be able to meet several moms/wives etc from that area and either have a small party or at least all go out to dinner together. If you live in the VA Beach/Norfolk area or close enough to drive and want to join us please send me a friend request or message. I love meeting other Navy Families :-)

Comment by MikesMom0318 on October 9, 2012 at 7:15pm Had an awesome time this weekend with my son, who is now a U.S. Navy Sailor! The whole experience was so well done; I cried from the time they opened the large door and they came marching in. I am so proud of my son and all the Sailors who graduated on 10/5. May God protect them all and keep them safe!!
Comment by cmmom/ship4div821 on October 9, 2012 at 11:24am What a fabulous weekend. PIR was the most moving experience, the tears were flowing. My son was an award winner and we were escorted around like royalty lol. I am so proud of him! I cannot thank all the people on N4M enough. I was sad and sometimes felt lost during BC, but all of you helped me through it. My son is SWCC so I have joined that group so I can also stay informed as well as have support as he moves onto the next phase in the Navy.
