It was really impressive to watch our son's division march out this morning.They did what my sailor told me was called a Flying Mass Right and a Flying Counter March. Wow! It was impressive.
We went into Chicago today. We went to the Navy Pier and then just wanted around before coming back to hang out at the hotel. A good day. It was a good day just because we were with our sailor.

Comment by navymom09 20 hours ago - Today was an absolute God send! Seeing my son after 8 weeks was amazing. Unless you have experienced a PIR it is hard to describe the feelings that you have just seeing all of those Sailors standing up there. And then to get to finally hug them and talk to them is wonderful.Ttoday just wasn't long enough! Looking forward to spending all day tomorrow with him. :)

Comment by JD's Mom 21 hours ago - There are no words that express how wonderful today was. Going to the PIR and then being able to spend the day with JD. We hung around the hotel and talked and when out to eat. Tomorrow we get to pick him up and spend the day with him. He wants to go to the mall, got to figure out where that is and how to get there. We only got lost 3 times today, I guess that isn't too bad, lol. It was wonderful to meet everyone and I hope we all stay in touch with one another. Shelly

Comment by Patricia 22 hours ago - Wow -- wasn't today absolutely awesome? We had a mini Thanksgiving dinner with our daughter and a friend of hers and then just hung out in the hotel. Off to Chicago tomorrow! I can't wait to receive the DVD of today's ceremony so I can watch it again!

- It was so wonderful seeing our sailor! We went to Rainforest Cafe and then walked around the mall a bit. After that we came back to hang around in the hotel. Enjoy your time with your sailors everyone.

Comment by grandmaw09 23 hours ago - We have had a great day so far. Have our sailor with us right know. Went out to eat, then to the mall and we are all in our room having a good time. Have to have him back to base about 7:15 pm. Get to get him about 7:00 in the morning and spent the day with him again. They all looked so good.
