OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Clownmom Ship 13, Div 011...it's official. He will be going to Bahrain in May. He graduated from A school in March as an AO. I am a nervous wreck but he is still very excited about going. He will be spending some time in Florida with some of his family before coming home to NY and shipping out. Looking forward to seeing how much he's changed since bootcamp!!

Our son is still in Great Lakes also. Ship 12 Division 010.  He finished an ATT class and now started his A school about two weeks ago. We are going out for a visit as well over the Easter weekend.  Can't wait to see him again!!

My daughter is on the USS Nimitz carrier in Everett WA. As I live in Oregon I was able to drive up to see her this past weekend. Got to go on her ship and she gave me a three hour tour.

WOW Mikesmom - Bahrain! what rate is your son? Seems like they are very busy there and short staffed. What an adventure your sailor has in store. Wonder where other are from this group? My son is still in school in Great Lakes. We will be visiting him next weekend for Easter. Hope all is well for the rest of your sailors.

My son is scheduled to graduate from A school this week. Originally thought he was going to Oceana but now he may be going to Bahrain! Hopefully, he will be able to come home before deploying overseas. Boot camp was bad enough, but Bahrain is in the Persian Gulf. I am one anxious Navy Mom!!

Thought I'd let you all know that after a game of email-tag and also phone-tag, I was sent a new DVD that I was able to get to play. Enjoyed reliving that!

Got my DVD yesterday. I was able to open it with Windows Media.

Received my PIR DVD today, but can't get it to play on either my computer or my DVD player. I've placed a call to the number listed on the back and left a voice mail, but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this same problem. I have a feeling it hasn't been formatted correctly. When I push "play" it says that "operation is prohibited."

Had a greatvtime with our son over the holidays! He is back at  GL's going to ATT class, then i guess hisA school will start after that, which will be at GL also.  Don't know when we might see him again, but being able to communicate by texting is awsome. What would we do without that! Receive the Keel the other day also, his grandfather was really impressed with that. Looking forward to getting the graduation dvd. Take care everyone!
