Hi everyone, I'm feeling a bit weepy my son's birthday is on Saturday. This is the first time that he has been away from me on his birthday. I sent him gifts, but i feel so lonely without him being around on his birthday. We always make a big deal out of birthdays. I tell my kids their birthdays were the best days of my life. He is my first born.

Rebecca,
It really was cool when those doors opened. I think it's the most impressive thing I've ever seen. I am so glad that all of us got the chance to go.

Hi all, its great to see how our sailors are progressing in their careers. Can you believe it is almost a year since they started boot camp. Time flies.

Well, Mike is on a deployment. Because he is overseas they only deploy for less than three months, so he will be back on base for Thanksgiving. He is going to try to come home for Xmas, but I don't think he will have that much leave time, since they all went into the hole for it after boot camp.

Rebecca, I am so happy you are doing better.

Good to see all of you are doing good. Rebecca, Ryan will be in Miramar around March. Orders were changed and he is doing 6 months hands on training in Lemore CA. He was home yesterday for a whopping two hours. Not real happy with the wife right now. She told me that I couldn't come to Cali to see the baby in Novemeber until after her Mother had left. Then tells his Dad to wait because she didn't want so much constant family around right after the baby was born....

JAMIE!!! Wow girl, good to hear from you. I am happy you are getting too see Coty so much. I haven't been that lucky. Will is a "West Coast" Sailor. He loves it. He called today and they transported them to Miramar Thursday. He said it is really really nice. So funny, he said "Mom, I would pay to live here" lol I love their comments. He said each place he gets sent it better than the last. I still have Bells Palsy..4 months 3 weeks!! It is a LOT better tho. How are you doing? Would love to hear from you.
