I'm so glad that you got your calls yesterday, and I'm hoping that you ALL get your calls today! I'm still SO nervous for mine who will go Sunday.

alwaysdaddyltlegirl, I got my call here in Oregon around 1:45 PM.Since your son is in the 2nd set of calls, you are most likely going to be just fine!

For all of you waiting on your calls, we know how difficult it is. Sending you all calm and peaceful thoughts right now so your anxiety will lower :) For me, I was SO anxious, I could hardly talk to him for the first 2 minutes, my smile and relief was too much in control of my body! Still can't believe that he doesn't know if he is GNG yet, that part is so frustrating!

Can't wait to hear all your comments later today about your SAILORS phone calls!

This is what the Bobster told me yesterday when he called around 4:45 EST.  After the capping ceremony they went to chow hall and then back to their bunks.  Since they didn't have permission to lay down in their bunks they all decided to sleep on the floor.  He said the next thing he knew they were waking them up to make their calls home.  He was still exhausted, but you could hear the pride in his voice.

So proud of all your Sailors and still more to come...My heart goes out to all the moms...very happy for the ones that have gotten the call and the ones still waiting..Good luck to all our SR going into BS!!  May God be with them all!! I cant wait wait till Tues...

I am so teary-eyed this morning!  I'm really excited but sooo emotionally.  I feel like an idiot.  But I've got my "proud navy mom" t-shirt on and my "Blue Star Banner" ready to hang right under the American Flag in my room.  (I have one for home too). All I need now is "The Call."

Today should be the day!  I only have three patients to see today and will have my phone glued to me...lol. I burned that blue candle all night for all of our SRs.

I thought about taking the day off, but if he calls during the hours that I am in school, he will call there first anyway because I didn't write to tell him that I would be home.  We have missed 13 days because of snow this winter and I will be missing two days next week going to PIR.  But really, I could have because I have every class doing group projects right now, knowing that I can't concentrate enough to stand up in front of class and put two consecutive words together.
