Hi girls, I just wanted to check in and say thank you for all of your prayers, love, and support.  Your messages mean more to me than words will ever be able to express.

It’s been the longest 5 weeks of our lives… the devastating news of Cody’s poor judgment, the frustrations of when he would be able to leave Japan, how long he will be in Seattle, and most importantly, what will happen when he comes home.  When he enlisted, he truly believed that the Navy was the answer to his prayers, that his military career would give him the direction he needed.  Now, we see that won’t be the case and he has to find a new path.  We are so scared at this point but are holding tight to our faith that God will keep him safe and that He has a plan for Cody’s life.

I pray for all of you every day and in my prayers for the safety and good health for all of you and your families, I thank God for your friendship…  I know that my time as a Navy mom is officially coming to a close as I write this, as Cody flies away from his ship for the last time, but I am so thankful that I will have the love and friendships of all of you for a lifetime.  My Ger Bear told me, "Once a Navy Mom, always a Navy Mom."

I am sitting here, still in my PJ’s on this snow day, crying yet again, as I think of the incredible gifts each of you are to me…  My baby’s life is about to enter a new phase and I will always be there for him.  How blessed I am to know that as we begin this new phase of our lives, you will be there, supporting and loving us, Navy Mom and Sailor or not.  I love you girls…

Hi everyone...I hope everyone had a wondeful Christmas and New Year. I did thanks to my wonderful neighbors who have become my family away from family. This Christmas was very hard as it was my first Christmas without my daddy and also my first Christmas away from home. I have not been home to Alabama since I moved to VA in July and I miss home like CRAZY!!

Keith has been placed on limdu for the time being. He has torn his rotator cuff and his labrum in his left arm which he will be having surgery for around February and he also has to have sinus surgery on the 27th of this month. Im kind of glad he got placed on limdu because he was taken off his ship and will be assigned to a new one once he gets off. His captain isnt married and doesnt have any kids so he loved going out to sea

On a good note Keith and I celebrated our 7th anniversary yesterday. Hope everyone has a great rest of the week

I spoke with Sue and told her that once a "Navy Mom" always a "Navy Mom."

Cody will land on his feet, all of us do when we get the wind knocked out of us.

Sue you know where all of us are, just call.

We love you and your family to pieces and will pray that all will be well.

Love you,

Gerry

Sue, my heart aches for you.  I am SO sorry to hear the news and my best wishes go to Cody.  It is awful how honesty is penalized, especially so far removed from when it happened.

Please stop in so we know how you and he are doing.

My love,

Dee
