Outrageous! A year ago today, by dates, that massive bay door rolled up, got a peek at those marching feet, the crowd went wild and only remember straining on tip toe to see over the heads in front of me AND trying to focus through streaming tears for that one sought after face! And found him!! He was in the row closest to the bleachers, but he didn't turn or flinch to indicate he heard us but later admitted he "recognized certain voices." (I think he "recognized a certain voice" from all the soccer cheering a "certain" person was known for:) And when I called him this morning, the exact same emotion was there all over again. HOOYAH!!!!!!    PS:so GLAD I have the PIR dvd. Missed so much while it was happening!

smcfar92, if you have facebook pop on over to http://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/176496029075370/.  Many of the N4M are still active on the facebook site.

My son has what I would consider a whirlwind since PIR.  He is undesignated at went directly to a ship that was already deployed in the Persian Gulf.  He returned to Norfolk the beginning of Dec.  Overall he likes the Navy and the experiences he is gaining.

How is your Sailor doing?

I want to see pictures of your classroom!  I bet that's cute as it can be.  We are sending cards to Sailors this year.

You can post on facebook under the doc for cards or for those of you who don't use facebook...email me the addres and I'll post it for you so we can get cards to the Sailors.  God Bless you!

Glad to hear from you guys. Not much new with me. I started school on the 11th, so it's back to the grind- and busy right now. I did a military theme in my classroom this year so I'm reminded of my sailor each day. (heavy sigh) She's in San Antonio - which is about 5 hrs away so she came home and surprised us this past weekend- so that was such a wonderful treat!! Take care everyone. Please check in. I want to know how everyone is doing~

I stop in occasionally.  Its easier now he is out of bootcamp.  He is an undesignated seaman, no rate, so he went to a short school in GL and then off to join the fleet.  He is currently at sea on a battleship in the middle east.  Says he can't tell us most of what hes done/doing, but its not all clean, scraping, and painting although there is a significant amount of that.  His last facebook post says he "got to steer a multi-billion dollar war ship"  I suspect he was nervous, but afterwards thought that was the best thing he's done.  If it wan't pretty cool I don't think he would have mentioned it.

So teach2 whats going on with you?
