Jared is HOME!!!!! YEAH! He got in around 3:00 p.m. He loved the banner.
Man, he looks GREAT!!!! He is looking fit and trim and "how mature."
The bad thing is that he has watch at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. : (
He is just glad to be home and he'll go back Saturday afternoon. Now, he is off to a friend's house. He lost 30 pounds before he went to BC and now he is looking fit....so I'm sure his friends will be amazed. He just looks happy with himself and where he is in his life right now. So thankful!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving too. I am sad I won't get to be with either of my sons tomorrow nor do I have any family here whatsoever except my husband. Joanne, you are so lucky to have a family reunion to go to. My sister lives in California and her idea of thanksgiving is Marie Callenders. We don't see one another very often which is fine. Anyway, I haven't heard from Derek but know he is back in WA and I hope he can have a good meal and some time off Thanksgiving. He has never not been at home with either me or his dad and alot of family. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving and blessings to you all and your families.

Laura - sorry to hear about Matts mom but like cindy said, we are all sure you will be around to help her.
I am off to Boston for Thanksgiving - it is my family reunion time. It is going to be hard for me because I will be the only one without "all my kids" there. I feel like I did when I became first divorced and I was the only one there w/o a husband. This is gonna be hard but we all know what it is like. I do find comfort in knowing that Jas will be with a friends family in SC so it isn't like he is no mans land. I can still call him. He has "lost" his address so I can't send the package I have for him.

Anyways, if I don't have a chance to talk to you all before Thursday, have a wonderful Thanksgiving and for those of you that have your sailor coming home...hug the heck out of them.

Gray just called. He got Japan. J.A.P.A.N.

From what I could tell from all the screaming (lol) he'll be on the Destroyer DDG 85 McCampbell sometime after May '10 after completeting another "C" school.

He is so excited!

We're still haven't been able to see him since PIR and are anxiously waiting to hear if he gets to come home for Christmas.

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving.

Laura- sorry to hear about Matt's Mom. I'm sure you will be around to take good care of her in Matt's absence. Thank goodness it was just a scare and not an actual heart attack....although still scary. ((HUGS))

Hello all,
I got some bad news. Matts mom got put into the hospital yesterday. They thought she had a heart attack but it was just a scare. Her blood pressure went sky high. She was put in the hospital for two days. He is very scared and upset. He got a chance to call home and talk to her. We have not spoke to him in almost a month so I was excited. I went to check on her and she is fine. Just tired.

Hi Ladies! Today, I got Jared's room all clean so that when he comes home, it is nice and ready! I'm so excited to finally get to see him!!! He'll be home Wednesday evening. The banner will be hanging on the garage door so that when he pulls in, he will see it! Today, I saw the movie "The Blind Side." FABULOUS!!! You should go and see it and bring kleenex with you. : ) Ok, 2 more days of work and then a break....yeah!
