Hey ladies, I just went to the NEX site (Google Navy Exchange NEX and it'll take you there) and purchased a NEX gift card for Nate for Christmas. What's cool is that I uploaded a photo from his PIR weekend of all of us at the Navy Pier with Chicago in the background and that will be the front of the gift card! The only thing civilians can purchase there are gift cards, but they make a welcome and sensible Christmas gift. (Easily transportable!) :o)

Tee-1 Kate is a very nice girl. She comes from a good family. My husband and I get along well with her mom, stepfather, and her dad. We even get along with her grandparents.. We have had many family get togethers. The kids have been together for almost 4 years now. If we can only get this lucky when our youngest picks his mate, life will be good. He is only 16, so there is no rush on that.

Wow Kim! That is awesome! You must be proud of both your boys.
I had a fun time trick or treating with my little Ninja and little cat! Some of the house had lots of spooky decorations and I had to walk right up to the door with them! very cute.
My sailor is having a hard time with his stress fractures, and doesn't know if he will be home for Thanksgiving. Have a beautiful Sunday everyone!

Happy Halloween everyone!
It is so exciting to hear about everyones sailors that are able to make travel plans for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I got a call today asking me what size winter coat "A" should get for his dad for Christmas. It was nice to hear him thinking about it already and still just as nice to know that he was paying for it on his own. He even said he will pay for his plane ticket home. I'm a working man mom and can do it. Yeah!!!!! He was good about working and making his own way before, but there is more pride in it now. It helps since our oldest son had hours cut on him and is having a hard time paying his other two student loans. I can rent him out as a private chef though. Romantic dinners for two or special dinner parties. Have a great weekend.
