The Rainforest Cafe in Gurnee Mills Mall is has great food.  Big portions but on the pricey side.

I have a suggestion if you go into the city. SPIAGGIA, it is a 4 star Italian restaurant in Chicago. the Cafe is great for lunch and the Dining room for dinner. it is a little pricey , but totally worth it.it is on Michigan Ave. across from the DRAKE hotel. there is no sign out front the address is 980 N. Michigan Ave. phone for reservations 312-280-2750.  If you love upscale genuine Italian food it is a must.

TERZO PIANO is located in the Art Institute on Michigan Ave. Check out Millenium Park, you can walk up the bridge from the park, which crosses over Columbus. The food is new, creative and Tasty!! the views are awesome, they also have an outdoor dining space, great on a beautiful Spring day. open for lunch  daily and dinner on Thursday. 159 E Monroe St. 312-443-8650 for reservations. if you go with your Sailor ask for Chef Jaime for a special treat!!

I need a good steak house near the base.. Any suggestions??? Im gonna have a hungry sailor to feed!!! ;)
Travel to Chicago and eat the best food through Navy Tour Chicago!  They pick you up from Great Lakes and stops at numerous locations in the city (bars, restaurants, museums, etc) The best way to travel to Chicago and back is through this service! lol and it's cheap!  Visit: www.navytourchicago.com

greatlakesbb....are you just here to spam your company?

My son wants a great big juicy burger at PIR 6/3, any suggestions?

Bakers Square - very good breakfast items. Located right beside the Gurnee shopping center.

6340 Grand Ave.,
Gurnee, IL 60031-4523

We ate at a great Steak House...Stevens' at 401 N. Route 21 Riverside Plaza Gurnee.  It was pricey but very good, about $150 for dinner for 4.  Hubby and I did have a drink and we did appetizers, soup & full dinners.  It was recommended to us by our hotel, Spring Hill Suites but they gave us a coupon for %20 or $20 off.  The price I gave you was with tip.  The food was wonderful, the crab soup that is their signature soup was amazing. We thought it was worth it.
