Amy, I'm not sure if those dates are accurate or not . . . I know they've 'played around' with the dates over the past 6 months or so as far as when the different classes are reporting to Coronado for Indoc . . .
That said - it's been 'standard' (well, as standard as you can get - LOL!) for them to arrive mid-week and take a couple days to 'settle in' before beginning the 3-week InDoc . . . then Phase 1 begins and 'Hell Week' has been during week 4 of Phase 1 . . . so if that holds true, then Hell Week would begin the 7th week after reporting to Coronado . . .

USPS, regular government post office. Bring the stuff you want to mail in a bag, and get one of the "flat rate" Priority mail boxes (bring your own packing tape); no matter how much it weighs it will always cost the same to ship. And for me, it almost always only takes two day to get from the West Coast to the barracks.
I'm paying $9.80 from here, for boxes so heavy they'd usually cost $23-$26!! Flat rate is the way to go!!

Amy-I can confirm what Joyce says. We sent 3 boxes 3 different ways...priority mail worked best for our son. I did pay for confirmation (Does NOT require a signature) but lets you go on the website and see if it was delivered to the address. I would then let my son know to go find it.

Hi Amy . . . mine moved on Wed, but didn't get to a phone to call until Thurs . . . I had his stuff all boxed up and ready to go - sent it 2-day USPS on Friday and he received it on Monday:)!
Overnight doesn't get delivered next day anyway so save your money . . . and UPS/FedEx has to be picked up in a different building, whereas USPS is delivered directly to their building - hope that helps:)!

My hubby just graduated this past Friday and should be moving over Wednesday. Can anyone give me some basic info just all around. When should I expect my first call now? and if he gets the address wednesday can I send over his cell and lap top right away? Any info is appreciated. Just said my tough goodbye. Also, anyone know about leave for christmas?
