Hi Dana, Chris just got home and i showed him a pic of Ashley, and he remembers her during lab after mod 4 he says.

Ashley is still waiting on orders...none yet. She just found out this morning that they will not clear her in medical for at least two more weeks. I think she's headed on a ride down already. (grrr) Enjoy your time with your son Randy.

good job Ashley, i'm happy for her. does she know where she will be going to now? Chris comes home today, and will be here for 2 weeks before he's off to San Diego. I wonder how he's feeling, coz Great Lakes has been his home away from home for the last 7 months. thinkin it has to be on his mind a little.

Woo hoo!! Ashley finished up school yesterday and will graduate on Friday. She saw her PLR(i think) and was told that she may be on hold up to three weeks. She has decided to take some college classes while she is waiting patiently ( I hope). All her friends and classmates are leaving so I do detect the high will soon come crashing down. Good luck to you that have sailors that are waiting to class up as well as those that have just finished.

Yeah! Our son called over the weekend! He won't be here for Easter, but he plans to come in early May and will be here for Mother's Day!!

Andrea, Colin is 26. When he comes home I will show him the picture of your husband. Who knows? They may have played soccer together or something. It will be good for you to be around other young Navy families to get some extra ideas on keeping your son connected with his dad. Well, I'm off to Joblots and Adams. Maybe we will bump into each other.

Hey Carla, wow i actually work in poughkeepsie! How old is ur son? Im hoping he doesnt go straight out to a deployment becuase its been so hard on my son, he thinks hes not coming back and its comfusing for him to nly see him once every couple of weeks. I just cant wait until we get to know where we are going!

Linda, yea, we got to spend the whole weekend with him....thats the 2nd time i've gone to chicago after PIR weekend and spent the weekend with my son...both times i picked him up at like 1 in the afternoon and did'nt take him back to base until sunday night about 8:30 that night. i tell him not to stay on base all the time, he needs to get away, even if its just to go eat somewhere and return..he needs to get away from the base sometimes....i know of at least 3 weekends where him and some buddies have gone to chicago...rented a room for a couple of nights....and enjoyed themselves....now i'm trying to find places in san diego for him to see...kinda give him a head start on places to see and things to do...

Hello Randy! I really appreciate that information. How long did you get to stay with him? Was it a weekend or ? Not sure what to expect nor my son either.
