What schools are your kids going to?

Sounds great! Where in MD do you live? I lived in Arnold, Towson (go TSU!), and Bowie in the 70's & early 80s and my hubby is from Rockville.

Our RPI SO is July 22/23 so I will miss you in July, but definitely want to meet in August! Are you staying up there the whole week or will you deliver him on the 17th and return on the 23rd for the ceremony? We are deliberating.

I understand the distance thing. My daughter will be a sophmore at Norwich University in Vermont. I live in Central Virginia, in between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. So it was definately an adjustment for the distance between us. We did everything together. But we made it through. Emails was a lifesaver for me.

Hey there,
We are right outside DC, but 2 of our children went to Governor's School in Richmond, so we have been there numerous times. Our favorite place to eat in Nacj Mama's on Cary Street!

well i missed all the talk this summer and joining up to meet before the ship off to ow this summer. my name is nancy b i have a daughter bridget who is a freshman now at rpi and i am sure knows most off your children who are also freshman, because whenever i talk to her she refers to everyone by their last name. anyway we live in virginia also - just moved from ms this summer so she had alot of adjustments to make both personally and school related. ok - how are your kids doing. bridget finds school very difficult, but thanks to your children is adjusting as best as she can. she has joined the colorguard and drill teams - she loves it. anyway we live in broadway, va would love to meet or communicate with other rpi moms - haven't made too many new friends here yet (bridget is my second in college - but i still have three at home as young as two years old - makes it difficult to get to rpi to see her -can't wait til thanksgiving)

My son is at Penn State, will be a senior this year, getting ready for his First Class cruise in a couple weeks. He'll be commissioned in May.

Hello, My son is also getting ready for his 1st Class Cruise also, he is going to Norfolk. We are pathetically proud parents. He will be commissioned in December.

Congrats to you and your son. I also just had to comment on your terminology- just LOVE it and may have to borrow it sometime (the pathetically proud parents part). Put a huge smile on my face and I thought to myself "Yep, that's it!!! ". Thanks- Paulette

Hi Webmom, I was just browsing, looking for someone at Penn State and found you. My daughter is also a senior MIDN at Penn State. I bet they know each other! What a small world! I just read down some more and saw the other entries(warp02). My daughter does know your son, I saw of picture of him from freshman year.
