LeAnn, my daughter Amber is in A school. She does study groups all the time. I text her every day; I can find out for you if she knows him.

Hello All~
I have a problem. My son who has ALWAYS kept in touch with me has fallen off the radar. He is in A-School for Corpsman in GL. Since he entered school 3 weeks ago, he has called me at least 5 times a day (he has his own cell phone) and has emailed myself and many others everyday from his laptop which he has in his dorm room.
The problem is, the last time he called me was Saturday and the last posting on his Facebook was Saturday; also, the last time he had contact with anyone was last Saturday. With his own phone and laptop, this is very unusual. The last I knew he had watch all of Labor Day weekend and would be back in school on Tuesday. He talked to me last by text at 10:30pm on Saturday and said he was tired and going to bed and would call me after watch on Sunday morning. Nothing but nothing from him since.
So, I am wondering if anyone has a child in A-School in GL right now who would be able to inform me of what is going on if I were to give you his name...

My daughter has finally phased up and will now be able to go off base until curfew. First stop .. the mall to get some warm sweaters. Haha. Guess her Florida blood can't take this cooler weather.

Here at GL for my sons grad (and Dawn's lol). Staying on base - great room and even better price. Weather is beautiful. I will see everyone elses kids tomoorow because classes are still held even with grads going on.

My son is getting to come home for (orig 2 wks) the weekend and flying out to CP. His plane going back to NY is like 12 something and my plane is 5:20 and diff airline. Oh well it is what it is - I am grateful for the opportunity to see him grad and have him home even if only for a short time.

Getting ready to leave for GL and graduation tomorrow. Will let you all know how it goes. So proud of my son, the corpsman. Whoo hoo!

Nope. You're on your own now! :-)

IMPORTANT: Do be prepared for last minute adjustments in orders: there was some concern right up to graduation day our son might not get to come home with us for leave. (Instead, he is home for 3.5 weeks leave, lol!). One of his friends was scheduled to leave Saturday for his posting, but got told AFTER the graduation ceremony that he had to leave Friday (the next day) instead. His parents had reservations for Friday night, etc. So heartbreaking! So, be prepared for anything to happen.

Do we get a pkg in the mail like we did for PIR with information? and can we get any kind of discounts on rooms for the night???

My sons date is coming fast it is Sept 17 hoping there isnt a PIR the same date do any of you have the number for the Navy Lodge hoping to stay there. Zach has came home 4 times and always brings friends home its nice for his friends bc they cant get home their homes are to far away at less the get off base and a home cooked meal.
