Lorraine, sounds like Ryan is doing well!

FORTY YEARS??!!! It must be a bitter-sweet year for you. I'm in year 25, with no retirement in sight. Officially went back today, but have been at school 8 of the last 9 days, putting in almost 60 hours. Moved my classroom, cleaning/purging, even had to paint my own room (our district did away with the painting dept in June...)  Looking forward to the new challenges of the year, and there are quite a few.

Hope your final year is memorable! (A mentor of mine, when I first started teaching, used to say that in her final year, she wanted the class from H3LL! Said then she would never look back and regret it! - she got her wish!)

Hi girls,

It was so great to hear from all of you. It sounds like all your sailors are doing a great job. I hope you all are having a great summer. I have had a wonderful summer off from school so far. I'm spending the summer at our home in Bonita Springs, Fla. Family and friends have been visiting.

I'll be heading home at the end of August to begin my last year of teaching.I'm retiring after 40 years. I have mixed feelings about leaving.

Ryan is still in the Great Lakes for A school.  His wife Sue, joined him in late March. They have a wonderful  townhome off base, but still military housing.

He is still in  A school for FC. It's a very long  school. A school should be completed some time in early November, C school for an FC is either in one of two places, Virginia Beach or San Diego, Ca. We are all hoping for San Diego.

We will be visitingRyan and Sue in the GL the first week in Nov, for four days. He also mentioned that he might have leave over Chistmas. My husband and I will be in Fla. for xmas and if Ryan has off Sue and Ryan will join us,

Ryan is doing very well in school. He had a little health setback for a week and had to join another class. My husband talked to him last night and he seems very happy.  I'm trying to send a picture of Sue and Ryan but I'm having a hard time getting it to send.

I'm very proud of all our sailors.

Wasn't that just sickening about the Navy Seals being shot down. My heart goes out to all those families. It makes it hit home that our boys might be in danger some day. I sure hope not. Glad everyones boys and girls are doing so great, just wish I'd have got to see mine before C school

He's in Goose Creek, SC.   He'll be there for his C school also, so I'm hoping we'll get a chance to go there and visit.  I've heard wonderful things about the Charleston area.

It was great to have my Sailor home Caryn, You will cherish the time! They change so much, but still stay the same...

Where is he? Took a few weeks for Anthony to get his C school/Duty Base orders after A  school graduation. He told us not to come to grad. Said it wasn't a big deal, but then I think we both regretted not doing it. He actually left Pensacola without us seeing the base. Kind of makes me sad that he lived somewhere for 4 months, and I was never there!  Guess I better get used to that!

Hi ladies -

My son is about to finish his A school, will be home for 10 days in Sept, then back to go on to his next school.   Looking forward to having him home.  Hope all your loved ones are doing well in their training.

Hey Dale!

Sounds like Brian is doing really well! That's great!

Anthony finished A School in Pensacola in June, and waited for his orders. He got them mid July and took just under 2 weeks leave to come home. It was GREAT to see him and have him home. He left last Friday and reported to Oceana Virginia for C school. VA will be his duty base. He has been assigned to VFA-211 squadron (Fighting Checkmates) and will be working on the F-18. It's amazing that MY education about the Navy did NOT end with Boot camp.

I was away from N4Ms for a few months. Back now. Keep in touch!

Hi everyone - hope your sailors are all doing fine. Brian just finished his first school with a 96% and is going and starts his next 6 months on Monday, will be in Pensacola till he finishes. Hasn't had enough time to come home, so were going to take a trip out in Oct or Nov. Haven't seen him since graduation. Hope your all well too. Keep in touch

My sailor got to start his A School today, was excited. Said he doesn't have to muster now? Hopefully he likes his school. Hope your all doing good - our snow is finally starting to melt - can't wait for spring
