Just got a phone call from my son. Oh boy this is a red letter day. 5 Letters and a phone call. He said the RDC's only gave them 5 minutes because they didn't win the flag. It was wonderful hearing his voice. Hope everyone else got a call today.

I got 5 letters today. I am so happy. He sounds good but tired. They may be in an article in the Navy magazine "All Hands" they are also being sponsered by the USS Nimitz. Pretty Cool.

I think we may leave on Wed and drive straight through. We have plenty of people who can drive. I want to go around the base and show the family where I was in 79.

From what I have read - the meet and greet is always held here for every division of 7/22/11 PIR. There will be snacks and a cash bar, but if you are staying at this Ramada you will receive two free drink tickets. Hope to see everyone there.
