Tammy You are most welcome.... But it is a joint effort from all the group as for adding all the thing's on this site.... we are very pleased to have you here... we have a discussion going on in the PIR section and everyone usually meet there... there is tons of reading for you .... will take you a while... LOL as for the mail one of the other parents said their child wrote that the mail was slow there... so hopefully this helps some...looking forward to getting to know you ......

Hi Tammy...I think our mail carrier is going to quit after Jeff's PIR...I am ready to attack him each day ( especially Tues., Wed., Thurs...) If I get a letter the world is good & he gets a hug..No letter..the wicked witch appears in me! I may have to take double hormone pills in the middle of the week....tears are not as frequent. I even cleaned his room...found science experiments! My thinking is that at some point he WILL come home..even for a short visit..he will need to sleep/sit on his bed. Now the sheets are clean ( though I did NOT make 45 degree corners...he can show me how). A little bit easier each day.

I am glad to know I am not the only one that seems crazy. My mail lady has started reminding me when the last time I received a letter was before I even get to her truck. I still have my days...My youngest took over Derik's room but I made him leave Derik's posters on the ceiling. At least I know part of him is still here, I know he will come home from time to time, it's just realizing he doesn't live here anymore that is the killer! :( We packed all of his things away before he left he wanted to protect them from his brothers, I was quite amazed at times what we found. ;) Hopefully I will get a letter this week, not getting anything has seemed to make this week worse...this has been the most emotional I have been.

Tammy welcome and it is one of the hardest roller coaster' you will ever be on... But thanks to this grouup and the wonderful people we have each other at all time's and no matter what the problem is you can always come here to VENT, CRY, SMILE, COMPLAIN, REJOICE, all of the above.... there is noone here in this group that want listen and try to help.

Thanks Pam, I have needed to vent quite a bit lately and I think everyone will be glad when this ride is over!! I am wondering about how the girls will get on base for graduation. We have the car pass but as of now we are staying on base, I only wish they had a pool at the lodge. Anyway, do you know if there is a place to park off base and they can walk on or do they need to try to ride the tram in at 5:30a.m.?

well first off the navy lodge is off base... it is about 4 blocks from the base entrance. It is in walking distance of the base... where are the others staying? if you'll check in to info section on the main page of our group there is a web site you can copy and paste into your browser and look at the base.... but if there is room and the other s are on the guest list you can ride in together ...I hope this helps and also i believe thereis a bus that stops at the gate ... like city bus. and the hotel they are in may provide shuttleto the base i would tell them to check into it.let me know if you need anything else
