Navy For Moms

Ladies I am worried about us getting out of touch when this boot camp thing is over and done... This is a place for us all to gather when it is over and to keep in touch with one another... Because i don't know about you all but that to me would be like loosing a family member. so let's all stay together....Plz and we can have like reunion's once a yr just to be together... and talk about old time's...hehe

Matthew is scheduled for A school in MS, then on to his 'post'.
The turkey (& I say that with motherly affection) put down So. Cal for all 3 choices for his base. Ventura, Oxnard & San Diego.
I told him "Silly, you joined the Navy so Mom can see the world!, what about Hawaii or Italy or Japan. Somewhere, I've already seen Cali."

Hi Pam - I think this is a bond that won't be broken. We've become so accustom to "living" on this website. I agree that we need to keep this going. Tina is going to have to continue to post her daily blog. I look so forward to reading those!! So far, we have no idea where Josh is going for A school. It seems that with ony a short time left, someone could make a decision. That's ok, keep delaying it and maybe I can spend more than 7 hours with him on PIR day.......

Bev I certainly hope so cause I wouldn't want it to be broken.... I wanted us to have a place where we could give update's on the kid's and where they are and what is going on in their life's .. Cause I think we all feel the same way that ido that all your kids have become like my own kids... and all of you like sisters and brothers and etc...... I don't know how long Phillip will be there in GL but from one ceremonial guard mom to another told me her son was there for a week or better before he left.. Unfortunately I cant stay that long .. My husband has to get back for work..... I WISH.....
Girl I LOVE Tina's blog's she is the best person i know who can take a situation and write about it and just make you cry or laugh.. she would be an awesome writer she should wrtie books ...

Hey Pam,
We know all our kids are in for at least 4 years, reguardless of where they get stationed. We can all help each other get through these 4 years together, we can stick together and be there for each other. I don't know about anybody else, but the upcoming election scares the crap out of me. We have no idea who our kids will be serving under, and with everything going on in the world right now, that's scary. We really do need to stick together.
If my daughter PIR's on 7-3-08, (I pray every night), she will leave GL on Monday, 7-7-08 to go to A-school in Pensicola, Florida to be an IT. She'll be there for 14 or 16 weeks. Before she went to b/c, she kept saying she was going to try to get stationed in San Diego. If she does that, we won't see her except when she comes home on leave once a year, if that. I hope I can try to talk her into putting at least 2 East coast bases on her "wish list". She hates Norfolk, Va, because her brother was stationed there, and she hated how rude the people were.
Does anyone know if there is a base around Savannah, Ga? The people down there are real nice.

Hey Pam,
I've been on the site just a little here and there, but couldn't find any "action" going on with any of my lady friends here. I thought everyone was doing stuff like I was, getting those last minute Dr. appointment out of the way, getting the new luggage, because I only have 2 suitcases, and I need 3, and the list goes on and on. I'm not completely done, but I am slowly whitteling away at the list. Yes, I am a list maker! Would be running in circles without them :)
Anyway, is there a certain page, like a chat room, or events area the ladies gather to in the afternoons or evenings? I seem to always miss everyone.
