It doesn't look like there are any recent posts here. My oldest son left for Bootcamp less than 2 weeks ago. We just got the form letter this week. I have written 2 letters already, and tried to get my youngest son (age 7) to write to his older brother. They are very close! So he wrote a note that said "I am stressed and I get an upset tummy when I think of you." with a picture of a sad face crying. It broke my heart! I just can't send that to my son in BC. I wish there was something I could do to help him adjust. (His older brother joined for 6 years)

Hey all,

My oldest son will be leaving for BC in 19 days. He has a little brother who is just 9y.o. That hey are EXTREMELY close. For the last year since my oldest graduated from HS and was DEPPing he has been staying ome with my littlest. We decided several years ago to home school him and my work situation changed so that I could not be home with him through the week. Therefore Tony my oldest step up and took care of his brother. Now I am afraid that my youngest Tegan will have difficulty with the separation. So I am looking for any and all advice to help him deal with the transition. Their Dad did 18 months in Iraq when Tegan was just 2 and he has great difficulty now with separation. Any help would be greatly received.
