Jeffsmom- Last I heard the get together is at Fatz in Greeneville, June 1 at 1:00 pm.  I didn't get to the first one and the second one was in Johnson City and I was sick that weekend.  I am bound and determined to get to this one......my son says the same thing when he comes home from the Coast - he knows he is getting close when he sees the mountains!  He really seems to miss those most...

kdbgtn - I grew up in Mosheim, so I certainly do know where Bulls Gap is.  Had lots of relatives there when I was a kid..many, many years ago.  I love Nashville, but do have to go East regularly to see my mountains.  Be sure and post the date for the meet and greet in Greeneville.

Jeffsmom - Hi - so you know where Bulls Gap is!  My son spent two years in the Navy Ceremonial Guard before his new assignment in Va. Beach.  He has a friend who is also on the Eisenhower.....

I'm Lynn and my son is on the Eisenhower.  We live in Nashville, but I grew up in Greene County.  He is ABH and this is his second tour on the IKE.

Tibbytab -  Welcome.  My son is in Virginia Beach.  Hes tied in with the Gunston Hall.  I live in Bulls Gap - In between Morristown and Jonesborough.  I will be at the Meet and Greet in Greeneville in June....maybe you can be there too!

 

Mom of Cameron- Welcome!  I wish my son could have been stationed at Pearl Harbor - went to Pearl harbor in February of 2012 and LOVED it - would havave been a perfect excuse to go back!

tibbytab (J.R.L.'s mom USS IKE) My son is currently land based in Norfolk.  BTW I have a FB page for Norfolk Mom's.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/NavyMomsOfNorfolk/  Also there is a page for East TN but I cant remember if it is on FB (I looked for the link but could not find it.) or here on N4M. We are having a meet and greet in about a month and a half in Greenville.

Gwen B I'm not far from you. I live in Roan Mountain next to the NC border. I have family in Jonesborough. My son is on the USS Eisenhower. Where is your sailor?
