I am from Texas City and my son DJ just got to boot camp on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. I would love to know if there are going to be any get togethers in the near future.

Hi Eileen. I'm the wife of NavyPop. We live near the Sugar Land Airport. He works in Houston and I work in Missouri City. We just received the information letter with the address and other general introductory information. It was exciting to see his name on an envelope finally. I never thought I would miss talking or yelling at him so much. I'm so glad I now have an address to contact him. I can breathe a sigh of relief while flooding him with letters. One week down, 265 more to go.

Hey everyone! I also live in the greater Houston area!! Spring as a matter of fact. My son is currently in BC due for PIR on April 3rd! I've gotten 1 letter! I miss him so much!! It's great to connect with other Navy Mom's that are close by!!
