I'm in Rowlett, Texas, which is a suburb of Dallas and our son, Ryder, is stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt, somewhere in the Persian Gulf or that vicinity. His PIR was December 27th, 2007 in Great Lakes.

Hi, we live in Bedford, DFW area. Josie just graduated on Fri. and is on her way to A class in San Antonio. They had her fly out at 4AM this morning, so she should be there any time now. Hi Teri we were at the Keller meeting too. Hope we get together again soon. It was a lot of fun meeting everyone. Louise

Hi Wanda, I am in Mesquite, a suburb of Dallas. My son is in Guam and has been there since he graduated A school in March 08. I know having a son in boot camp is a difficult sacrifice but your son is growing and maturing daily. My son left for boot camp just 2 months after his 18th birthday and it was very difficult to see him go but on the other hand I was so proud of him for making such an adult decision. All I can say is to write to him as often as you can. My son said that was a huge highlight of his day to receive mail. The time will go by quickly

Hi Marsha. I'm Jean and I live in Mesquite too. My son just graduated from BC 7/2/09. We just flew back yesterday from GL. What an amazing, emotional, tear-jerker event!!! WOW!!! I have never been so proud of him as I was this weekend. You are so right, BC is a killer even for the parents. But 99.9% of the men/women who make it through are proud that they did and look forward to what is instore for them. I couldn't believe how much more he had matured in the past 8 weeks. My son should have left for BC last November but I was in a pretty bad motorcycle accident back in October so he delayed his entry till this past May so he could take care of me. If there is any events going on, please let me know. I will be attending the Habitat for Humanity build this Saturday in Denton.

Congrats to your son on his recent graduation. How is he doing ? How are you doing? Hope you are healing up from your accident. What a wonderful thing that he stayed with you after your wreck. Were you riding as a passenger or on your own bike? I ride too.

I live in Dallas and am planning on going to the event in Keller :) Can't wait to meet some other moms! My son left for BC this past Monday (4/20) I'm sad for me, but happy for him.

Hi everyone I am new to this site and live in Breckenridge, not that far from Wichita Falls, my daughter is at MEPS today doing her physical. I am waiting to find out how she did and what her job classification will be.
