Hello West Texas Moms,

I'm a "NEW NAVY MOM" from Midland as of today. My son, Logan, a Senior @ Lee turned 18 on Tuesday, headed to Amarillo on Wednesday and enlisted on Thursday. Needless to say I'm going through a very emotional time and I find myself fighting the tears. I'm excited and very proud of him but it's not going to be easy for me. When he got home tonight he was exhausted from his day of testing so when he went to bed and I found this site which I think will be an awesome outlet for me as we move forward in the process. Based on the job that he signed up for he won't be leaving for BC immediately after graduation while which will give me a little time to try to pull it together and find my comfort zone.

hello everyone....well my daughter will be deploying very soon, she does not know where they are going as of yet...and it is getting harder and harder for me, but I am going to be okay....she said that she might decided to go active after this deployment but was not sure yet...which if that is what she wants to do I am not going to hld her back..
