My son just arrived in Chicago and I'm waiting for the "call". I've been a mess all day.

My daughter just arrived in Chicago today, as well. And yes, I'm waiting on that call, too. I haven't read about any plane crashes from Texas. *watery chuckle* I've been a mess all day, as well.

I'm in Lewisville, so hold my hand, Sis...we're in this together. *smile*

Holding your hand very tight and waiting have both my cell and house phone right here. I'm so bad I tracked all flights to Chicago from DFW that left at the same time as his. I didn't get to go to airport.

Looks like they left together, then...North Texas MEPS station, downtown Dallas?

I have been an absolute wreck all day. My co-workers are amazing, srsly...because they have been able to put up with me breaking down in the middle of nothing at all...

I checked the weather, too. It's gonna be cold (well, cold for us) up there...low 70's for highs and mid 50's for lows all week. Amber is gonna hate it. She hates cold.

I didn't go to the airport, either. I wanted to...but I didn't...*chuckle*

I am in Benbrook, so I am pretty close to you. My daughter leaves Jan 09

I worked with an awesome nurse from Benbrook

I know what you mean mi\y coworkers were the same letting me go take several "breaks". But yeah Dallas, he said there were about 10 kids with him. I've been watching the weather too, had storms east of Chicago but looked good for flight. It was his first flight.

Benbrook is practically next door dlavanway.

Amber was one of those kids, I have no doubt. It was her first flight, too. Her dad made sure that she had drammamine (or however you spell it) with her on a just in case basis. Me? I made sure she had gum. *laughs*

Benbrook isn't that far from Lewisville, either. Only a hop, skip, and a jump...as far as Texas goes. *smile*

Trent was of the plane at 8:24 but naturally his battery only had one bar left. I don't know if they go straight to shuttle or wait for other flights to come in then leave for GL

Not a clue...Amber didn't take her phone. Didn't want anything to happen to it while it was being shipped back in the box. as she put it...everything she took was something that she'd be fine living without if they threw it out. She is logical that way, I'll give my Bunny that...so, I have to wait until she gets to GL before she calls. I'm expecting about 10:30 - 11:00 pm...

Trent, huh? I'll have Amber keep an eye out for him...since they do Co-Ed training. What's his MOS? His School going to be? Amber is going to be a Corpsman.

AV AT/AE. Trent was gonna do Corpsman then changed his mind, his Dad and I both are in medical fields. I'll have him keep an eye out for Amber as well. From what I understand he will go across the street from boot for electronic basics.

That is just so odd...because Amber will go across the street for Medical Training. Looks like our kids are going Basic and A School together.

Wow. His Dad was at MEPs with him and I'm gonna look at the pics he sent again and see if I see any girls in them. Most were close ups though.
