Welcome Bonny! I have a Sean too, but he has been in the Navy for 3 years now! He is an ET on the USS Momsen in Everett, Washington. We are really upset this year because he is not going to be able to come home for Christmas. He still has not gotten leave approval and the air fares have already gotten too expensive. I live in San Antonio too, near 1604 between 281 and I 35. Where do you live?

Bonny here from San Antonio. Sean left Nov 16 & his PIR is set for Jan 15. He is in Ship 04 and Div 803. Any other mom's have sons/daughters in that Ship & Div?

Matt's Mom.....look on N4M groups and see if someone started a PIR group for your date. If not...you can start one. We had a great group for PIR 11/6/09. We kept each informed and support each other. It was great.

All of you that are going to the Meet & Greet in Dallas tonight... I hope you all have a great time.... I had planned on coming; but money just didn't stretch... so frustrating... Know that I will be there in spirit since I can't be there in person... I look forward to hearing all about it.....

Welcome mata5sons we are glad to have. Get ready for a roller coaster of emotions while your son is at basic training. It will probably be about 3 weeks before you hear from him. My letters always arrived on Thursdays. Are you going to his PIR?

I am a new Navy Mom - My sons Andrew arrived at Great Lakes for boot camp on November 17. I am so proud of him. I am anxiously waiting to receive that first letter from him.

Have a wonderful time at PIR. We went 11/6/09.....it was one of the best times of my life. He turned 19 PIR weekend. It was great when they did the flag ceremony. Texas got one of the biggest cheers of all. Take lots of pics!!!!

Grant is a CSSN culinary specialist he should be there for 2 years unless he likes it 2. its going to be hard this will be our first holiday without him
