I just posted my pictures from the baseball game on Memorial Day at Ranger Stadium on my page, if anyone wants to see.

Pamela, no more new news yet. Have to wait until she goes to Dr. at Texas Children's June 30. Will let you all know as soon as I know. Thanks for asking about her though!! I appreciate you all :)

I would love to go to Navy Week in Galveston, but to my knowledge the only one in Texas will be in Dallas. I'm going to the one in OKC also.

Ladies, check out the updated version of my discussion above. I now have a date for the Habitat for Humanity house in Denton. The first one (which I think is the one we will work on) is for a single mother of 3, it is being built in downtown Denton. Contact me for more info.

Got a call this morning from my son and he gets to come home this Friday for a week! Yeah!!!! He really wanted to be here for one of his cousins graduation and thank God it worked out. Excited to have him home for a week cause it won't be to long before his ship sails!

Hi all to Texas moms!!! Hope everyone had a great weekend!!! I baked cookies all day yesterday to send to my Son in GL and to my husband who is working in Iraq!!!! DJ is putting in for leave today to come home next week, I hope he is granted leave. We have a very good friend of ours that has pancreatic cancer and DJ wants to see him very bad. We really do not know how much longer he has and DJ looks up to him as a Father figure!!! So please keep him in your prayers. DJ is starting his ATT school this evening and really praying that he gets to come home. I also wanted to ask anyone if there will be any kind of a "PAINT THE TOWN BLUE" anywhere around the Galveston area? I would really like to get something started and do something like that. I know they have had several around the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I would really like to know if anyone would be interested in helping me out getting something like that started here?

My son is stationed in Oklahoma City and just made ATO3. We spent the week end together and had a great time. It feels wonderful after he has spent 3 1/2 years in Japan. I need help in looking for a Petty Officer 3rd class gift package? I found one last year, can't seem to remember the site. There are more military sites available than in 2004 when he graduated bootcamp. I appreciate this website and has been a blessing.

Hi Jody-My husband and I also belong to the Patriot Guard Riders. We joined last year when a deceased soldier returned to New Braunfels for burial. He, with others escorted the procession from New Braunfels to Fort Sam's cemetary. There were no problems or disturbances, but the San Antonio News did a very nice spread. I am proud to be a member of this group and what it stands for. Happy Memorial Day.

I recieved a message from T,s Mom saying he was coming home on June 8th. I ride with a group called the Patriot Guard Riders, We ride motorcycles and go to meet our boys coming home. If you want them to be at the airport to meet your son on June 8th go on line and find the Patrioit Guard riders for the Dallas area and e-mail the state captain. It is wonderful to see the PGR show to meet our miltary on arriving home.

Thanks for the info, Betty. I'll go there and look for the Ford.
Have a great time with your sailor, Kate.

Texas Moms,
Happy Memorial Day. Our sailor comes home tomorrow from Washington, on leave. I have not slept well the last couple of nights, because I am so excited. We had a welcome home banner made for him, and I will be posting some pics. Have a great day. God bless our sailors.
