I my son is ship 9 div 252, how would I know if he is a grad n go, my son said he is but doesn't know for sure. He will be going to Gulf Port Mississippi, and he still doesn't know for how many weeks.

Gini, I know what you mean, My son too as well had such a nasty cold and didnt sound as upbeat too. My son said that they know each other only as last names.

Michelle I am glad tht you all got to talk to your sailor as well.

Hello Garetts Mom, I am glad that you got to hear from your son, I too received a call from mine as well. I cant believe it that 3 weeks to go. My son is a grad and Go but dose have the whole weekend off. My son was looking forward to talking to his twin brother., He said that this was their holiday. They got to sleep in until 6 instead of 4 and got to call home today.Have Happy Holiday all and keep the prayers going for our guys to suceed!!

I got a phone call from Garrett today as well. It was great to hear his voice & he sounded good. He's having allergy problems but taking it well. I got to talk to him for 25 minutes before he called his dad & girlfriend. Will see our kids 3 weeks from today as we all watch proudly!!!

Hello to all! We just spoke to Madison too. He sounded so sick. The poor kid. He wasn't quite as upbeat this time as the last phone call, but it was still great to hear from him. I could just tell he had a miserable cold. Yes, Joy, Madison knows your Brandon. I don't think we are supposed to mention last names on here, but I think you are trying to say our last name when you mention Lanafee. Remind me to tell you what it is when we meet in GL. You will think it's pretty funny. God bless!

Talked to Eddie today and was able to conference in family so he pretty much talked to everyone. We were all so excited to hear from him. He misses everyone and is looking forward to graduation and seeing us. Can't wait!!

YA NEWPEW CALLED TODAY TOO-SOUNDED JUST LIKE HIS LETTER-KINDA SAD- SAYS HE IS JUST TIRED - BUT YA THEY ARE DOING WELL,,HE GET EXCITED MAKING PLANS FOR HIS 2 WKS HOME.

Hi all - just got off the phone with Brandon, he sounded great. He didn't send the letter because he had talked to us on Sunday. I told him I still like to get them :) He said everyone talks about each others mothers, wifes and s. They were on holiday mode.mentioned eddie p carries a flag in 252 he acually was from Mesa az too and played on brandons baseball team in 2000 then moved away to Surprise, AZ. How funny... also friends with Michael L and Michael M Alphonso B, Wolf and Lanafee (sp?) and Boyer-schoolecraft (sp?). They are staying low keyed this weekend just doing PT. Let me know if any of the names mentioned above are your kids, spouses....OK - heading out to the pool...see ya all later...Joy

Got my letter from Eddie yesterday. I must have read it 20 times just to make sure I didn't miss anything. Had no hits on his last two inspections, yay. Always a nerve racking time for them he said. It just amazes me how much he is getting out of bootcamp and that he actually likes it. I guess if he were miserable it would be worse for me. The only complaint he has is the food. Missing mom's home cooking =). He said that they had Basic Seamanship training on June 24, which was a lot of fun. He mentioned something about laser shooting range on June 26. He's having a little trouble in marching but all else is good. Jane/Joy I hope you received letters by now. It seems like I gauge how my week went by phone calls or letter from him. Last call from him was June 17. I had him leave a recording on my cell phone before he left so I could at least hear his voice. So that will have to do for now.=( Said he's been going to church on Sundays (and that's without me having to tell him!!) I'm praying that you all get your letters!! Yes, we are all mailman stalkers these days Jane. Like Gini said, hang in there.
