Hi Ladies,

You all are so right!! We are all in the same boat! Our children are there. I pray for them all often. I thank Jesus for looking out for the young man that fell overboard. He had his angels watching over him.

I do not here from my son. It's difficult at times but I know that he is helping to protect us. We will make up for lost time when he returns. Let's continue to encourage one another. It puts a smile on my face when you all say that your child called or emailed.

Hey Guys, my son is also in the CV and this is his second deployment.  I chat with him and told him about the fiery landing of the hornet that I saw in youtube and he was surprised that it was out.  We all know our sailors work is dangerous and all we can do is pray and be there for each other for our sailors.  Keep the prayers coming.
my son always says that we (back in the states) always end up knowing more of what's going on than those on board (or at least we find out the news faster)...as we all agree, prayer is our BEST tool when our sons/daughters are on deploy

Hello ~ My name is Lisa. I have a son on the USS Carl Vinson ~ it is his first deployment. He joined the CV back in December 2010. I am Very Proud of him and all his fellow Sailors. I am glad to be able to talk with other moms going through the same thing. I Pray everyday for all the Sailors and their Families.

God Speed

We're all in this together...that's what's so great about this site - we have families who are serving and we can compare notes with one another...it is comforting to know we're not alone

anyone participating in CV-70's tiger cruise? just checking to see who else is 'on board'...I'm looking forward to it (provided they don't cancel at last minute)
I have 1 son on the CV-and twins (2 years older) on the ENTERPRISE. We are a Navy family, my son on this ship is a CI.Hope everyone stays safe..

Hi there,

I am also a very proud mom of a sailor on board the USS Carl Vinson. We must continue to pray for there safety. It has been hard during this deployment. My other son is asking for my prayers and blessings to leave my husband and myself. He graduated this past week from college and will be leaving for New York this week. My boys have grown up.

I will continue to keep all of our family members on the Carl Vinson and for anyone who is protecting our nation.

Hello I'm Jor-Jean from Northern California.  I have two sons Kyle 20 and Jason 3 1/2.  My husband and I are so proud and supportive of Kyle's decision to join the Navy.  Kyle joined the Navy 2 years ago, right out of High School.  He's been stationed in Jacksonville, Fl and recently Coronado.  I'm thankful for the communication from him though not on a regular basis due to his work schedule, but as often as possible.  We are anxious for his return and lookring forward to meeting everybody.

Hi Everybody,

I had a wonderful time with my son when our sailors had a 4-day port call.  I am very proud of my son and to all the sailors who had fun shopping in the malls...they all look great!  I got to hug my son and spend time with him with our family and friends who were all proud of him.  The hardest part were the hugs and kisses and seeing him go with the rest of the sailors.  I've never been on a TG but I could say that it's better than a TG since the whole family and friends got to hug and spend time with him.  I hope you Moms will have a great time with your sailors like me...and don't forget to capture every moment of it.

hi all my names is Peggy and my son is also a James and we are from Green Bay Wi.  We will be coming out for the Home coming, we are all so excited..  Counting down the days....

James is a MMFN - he reported to the CV in Oct (ish) 2009 when they left Virginia then went to Haiti.  What excitement

we have had watching his journey.

Hi Peggy,

It's always get to her from other moms. I live in North Carolina and my son AJ is our oldest in the Navy. I am too very proud of him and all the sailors. I pray for them several times a day. We have three other children. My other son graduated from college a couple of weeks ago. He has already started a job in NY. My two girls are in middle and high school. We will have a freshman and a senior next school year. I work for our local school system and I am trying to plan our vacation around the time they will be home. We haven't seen our son since they left Virginia. We live in NC which was a little over an hour from him when they were stationed in Virginia. I am so grateful for this website. It keeps me informed along with other websites. I am not a facebook person but I do check this website daily. Let continue to keep our children and everyone who is trying to protect this country and others who are protecting other countries in prayer.
