Good morning ladies...nice to wake up and know our sailors are in the USA! what an emotional day yesterday! Hope everyone has a great week and I am looking forward to hearing about those of you are going to homecoming!

Heard from my sailor today, so glad he's on US soil.  I'm so proud of him and all who are on the CV.   I wish I was there but will see him soon.  I'm so anxious to hug him and see the difference in him.  I'm so glad I found this site, since I know there are other Navy Moms out there that feel the way I do.  This is his first deployment, so I know I'll go through this again.

HEARD FROM OUR SAILOR 2 TIMES TODAY, HE SOUNDS GOOD, I STAYED STRONG BOTH TIMES ( ONLY CRIED AFTER I HUNG UP WITH HIM.... HAPPY TEARS ). I TWO WILL BE HERE FOR 2 MORE DEPLOYMENTS & MAYBE MORE. I WANT TO THANK U ALL FOR HELPING ME THRU THE HARD TIMES, JUST KNOWING I AM NOT ALONE & SOME ONE ELSE IS FEELING THE SAME WAY I DO. THANKS TO EVERYONE. LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING EVERYONE:):)

Everyone enjoy the homecoming.  I won't be there but my heart will be with each mom with her teary eyes hugging her sailor...keep mine flowing too.  You all take care and to all our sailors.

for navybum~ thank you so much..I think I will be at the night before party..and the number makes me feel better..why did I not have this info??

I did hear from my Sailor who met up with my husband and other son..they were headed to the North Shore to get a shaved ice ;)  Can't wait to see them when they get home!  

So I'm newer to this Navyformom's site..and need to keep up on it!  From reading you all..you all are on the same journey with a loved one on the Carl Vinson!  Silly me for not keeping up!  K..I'm gonna be on now :)

heard from my sailor. He sounded so good. He lost his phone so he got a prepaid one and is now blowing up mine and his brothers and sisters phones.  Got to love it.

jittersmom, let those mama tears flow!  This is why we need each other -- because no one else really understands the incredible jumble of incredibly intense emotions when you talk to your child (he'll always be your child) after he's been so far away for so long and you have worried so much.  So those tears are filled with everything a mother is ♥    And it's a hell of an accomplishment to keep it together while on the phone - good job, mom!

navybum.....i will be here for awhile my son is going out again on the next deploymentI can't believe they are almost back I actually saw him in one of the pictures and talked to him today for the first time...my husband says wow all in one day after 7 months! thank goodness for the navy 4 moms! I would have cracked by now
