Hi everybody.  My son is on the Uss Harry S Truman.  His recruiter, also his friend is on the USS Gravely.  I sent my son's friend a care package early on in his deployment and it got to him.  I have since sent two letters with the same address and both have been returned to me saying they are inadequately addressed.

It upsets me that the US mail can not seem to deliver my letters.  Do you think it is because my letters do not have the four digit zip code on them?  If so can one of you guys please private message me the four digit code.  I guess all ships have been assigned four digit zip codes.  I have the Truman's but not the USS Gravely's.

I would really like to send more care packages and letters.  Please advise me of what I may be doing wrong.   Thank you all in advance for your help.

Mine just called (a wonderful real call this time) and he has requested sunscreen. I posted elsewhere, isn't there a ship's store that sells this? And if not, can I send him some. This request is a mark of maturity - lol - he fought sunscreen for years.

My son requested clinical strength deodorant.  Do you think there might be a bo problem on ship? Lol

Haven't seen any activity here for days!  Where is everyone? My son really likes being on the ship and is getting his sea legs.  It's great that they can communicate with us.  Certainly not like the old days.

If anyone is on Facebook, I find info about the sixth fleet on their Facebook page. There are also links with lots of pictures about what they are doing in the Mediterranean.

Hi everyone. I'm new to the group.  My son is on his way to join the ship.  I just watched the video and I'm so happy to see what it all looks like.  I'll be anxious to read all the comments.

I noticed that video on you tube awhile ago...I thought it was strange that it was out there for the world to see. My son has been emailing. He is very busy but is in good spirits. The ship is doing well.
