Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son is graduating from prototype on Friday in N.Y. He was picked up for the welding school in Connecticut, however for reasons I'm sure we're all well aware of his school has been "put on hold". He will be shipping out as soon as he gets to Hawaii. Needless to say, this divorced mom of 18 years is going to need a little support once her only child is deployed . . . lol

Yeah!!!! The boys are back home. My husband and I were able to attend the homecoming ceremony and it was awesome. I was so proud of all of our sailors! Hopefully, all of you will get to see your sons very soon.

I got an email from the ombudsman yesterday saying that we would be hearing from our loved one yesterday. My dil got the call at 5:30 am EST today. The text came to me about the same time but I am 6 hours behind her. I am assuming they just got there. Can we say where they are on this site?

I am glad we got to Skype with him during that "downtime" and we do get emails now and then but nothing recently. Its just getting so long. We spent a week in Hawaii last August and got to see things through his eyes. I know they are busy busy.

My d-i-l received an email from our sailor a couple of days ago but it's been a while since I have talked to my son. I'm missing him too! We will be hitting the beach as soon as he gets back. Glad you posted, I've been looking at the site the past few days hoping to talk to someone.

Anybody hear from their sailor lately? We're sure missing our guy. I know he's making a list of places to eat when he does get to come home. I haven't been on this site for awhile, but things being what they are, its still nice to know there are other families out there in the same situation.
