LET'S BRING SOME HOLIDAY CHEER TO THE USS NIMITZ CSG CHRISTMAS 2009

Below is the link to Molly's group. If you look through the old discussions & comments from November & December 08' you'll see a list of things that some of the mom's sent..Keep in mind, the ship they adopted only had a crew of 250 & we are looking at a crew of more than 6000 plus so some of their ideas will not apply to the Nimitz CSG

I would like to ask you to start thinking of gifts that we could send that the entire division could use such as cookies, games, playing cards, candy, etc. Please post your ideas along with your Sailor's name & info. A Dollar store is a good place to look for inexpensive gifts such as decorations. Once I contact the CMC, I will let you know if they will allow us to send decorations & possibly small Christmas trees. If anyone knows anyone that would be willing to donate any items please let me know. I am going to check with a few of the local dollar stores to see if I could possibly get Christmas stockings at a discount price.

I call dibs on CS1 division. That is Radio on the ship and that is my husband's division. I don't think anyone else will claim it but I wanted to get it first. I don't want to see the tug of war over air department with all the air folks we have on here.

I will get them some good stuff. I am almost ready to send out my halloween box. It is mostly candy so I hope none of them are planning on loosing weight this deployment. I wonder what he thinks of Johnnie. Most people either love him or they hate him. There are not many folks on the fence when it comes to Johnnie.

I guess I'll have to adopt security since that is Tim's division but I'll need help as there are about 150 in that division.

No Maggie's husband is in Communications & works w. the IT's. Just ask James who is DIVO is. Molly has contacts with the big wigs in the Navy so I'll see if she can get us some info. I was thinking about emailing the CMC so we can get additional info.
