Hi, Normandy family!
I'm new to blogging and new to N4M, my son, Christopher, was recently assigned to the Normandy. He's my firstborn and first to serve, so I really don't know what's what about all of this. Please forgive my ignorance.
Is there anything I can be doing to support my boy besides praying?
I am so proud of our sailors. I love that someone on the ship is posting on the Normandy's official Facebook page fairly often. It's great seeing what they're up to even if I don't see my kid in the images.
I'd love to hear from someone who's walked this road before me.
Thanks!
~MK

I just found out that my son got orders to Norfolk, and will be stationed on the USS Normandy. I'm happy to join the Normandy family, I've already read all I can about the ship.

Hi Cathilee,
I don't know he is still at Bootcamp, his graduation will be this coming Friday and we would be getting more information.
Thanks a lot for responding and please tell me if your son likes his new assignment .

Hi moms and wifes, my son is graduating from Bootcamp this coming Friday and he just told us during a phone call he was assigned to the USS Normandie, he has to be at Norfolk Dic the 31st. Would you please give me any advice or information? I'm a new Navy family member and feel really worry and lost.

Thank you in advance and i look forward to meet other family members.

I had the honor to visit the USS Normandy yesterday as they are in our small Maine Harbor for the weekend. All your Sailors are so great! We are laying out the red carpet for them. Made me miss my son oh so much but it was so great to thank them all for their service!

I am looking for all the Corpsman from the USS Normandy to come to my home for a lobster dinner while they are in port here in Maine over Labor Day. Please contact me!  We have community events planned but I want to extend a special thanks from a Corpsman Mom!
