Prayers for all of our ROSS sailors.  Thankfully all made it back safely to the ship.

Thank you all for the information. I got a brief visit before departure. I did not cry!!! I have been reading up on everything I can grasp from the news. Mine also has to get an international card or phone. Not sure how that works. Boy there is a lot of eotion when you child goes off in the world. :)

Channa1, first for me as well. My son has been on the Ross for a few months. He would call while in port, but we never heard from him while the ship was at sea. He's trying to get an international sim card for his phone, so he can call home when he's on land. Other than that, we'll probably use Skype or something similar to talk to each other.

Hooray! He called this morning to tell his mom Happy Birthday. We talked for a few minutes and he said he's really enjoying it,

He called, but we were out, and I didn't have my cell with me. (Wasn't expecting him to call while he was out) He didn't leave a message, either....he doesn't like talking to the machine. :(

Dawn that is awesome! When Bobby first got to Norfolk, he was told he'd be flying out to the ship. Next morning, they told him he was going out in a RHIB. I was jealous!
