For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Son recently deployed on WC and I need folks to talk to about how fast "boys/sons" turn in to men and "girls" turn in to women. Also would like to just hear form others who have sons/daughters on the WC.

My sailor (future sil) is also on his 2nd deployment. Joined it mid deployment in 2010 and leaving this one early as it will be his time to transfer to another ship. My son is on the Enterprise currently deployed so I too pray for all our children and all our military.

My son is on his 2nd deployment with the churchill, just reenlissted for another 4 years. I am a little nervous today after hearing about the incident with the rappahannock on monday. I pray for our childrens safety....

I think their first deployment would be the hardest. Not knowing what to expect, learning your way around the ship, having to make friends.... At least Destroyers aren't too big. like carriers!

I heard from my daughter Via her cell phone last Friday. They were close enough to shore for her to get a signal. Colleen in PA, you were right. She is doing much better and making some friends. As long as she is ok, I will be ok. It just breaks my heart when she was crying to me and there was nothing that I could do to make her feel better. I just got an email from her yesterday letting me know that they finally set up her email account. That makes me feel better just knowing that I will hear from her every few days if possible. :) I hope you all are doing well and hear from your sailors as well.

This my son's second deployment with the Churchill. He was ready to go and I know he appreciates all the good wishes from everyone.

No This is her first deployment. My son was a Marines and deployed 2 times to Iraq when things were really bad. But this is the first time for me going through this with the Navy. So neither one of us knows what to expect.
